Hello Hello!

Why helllllllllooooo!

I want to start by saying I promise I am not a fair-weathered blogger... yes I have been MIA since Nov. 14th (so sad!) but as you may remember... my computer was sicky! Major! And it took her going to a new place to get healed and I FINALLY got it back yesterday and literally have been on the computer nonstop ha! You have no clue how weird it feels to not have a computer (well maybe you do but I hope not) ... I have felt like I am living under a rock!! And now I'm back! Yay!

Thanksgiving is in two days... we are having it at our house and I still have to go to the grocery and get everything ready!! This past weekend we went to Louisville to celebrate with Chris's family at his parent's house and it was so yummy!

The kids surprised me with an early bday cake, cards and present! My actual birthday is this Saturday and they won't be with us :( so we had a mini celebration (thanks babe for thinking of it!) and had my absolute favorite cake on earth.... this girl needs no fancy crazy cake like I like to buy for others... I am 110% satisfied with a Baskin Robins Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cake!!! Yummmmm!!

So sweet! I was so surprised too! :)

They got me some awesome cards and a new charm for my Pandora bracelet...

The cute little present :) Perfect for a Birthday Gift! And they picked it out too ;) So thoughtful!

In other unrelated news... it is safe to say I have mastered the "sock bun" and it is my new favorite way to throw up my hair when I'm in a hurry...

I have also become obsessed with boot socks...

Buns, Boots, socks for everything! LOL I found some cute and super cheap boot socks at Forever 21 and got them in 4 different colors (I think they were like $6 each maybe??)

That's the only place I have really been able to find any solid color ones!

I am sure you've been missing and wondering about my son... he is still as spoiled as ever don't you worry... this pic proves that I'm pretty sure

Ella & Ava have been practicing these model poses and it is so funny, I had to share this one because it makes me laugh every time I look at it... it was this past weekend outside of church.

bahahaha. Love it. Poor Jake.... no model face for him ha. Just confusion I think ha.

My Current Faves!

Warning... this will be a totally random post!
Things I love, The Crock Pot Ribs Turnout, Pumpkin Patches, etc

I like to occasionally do a list of some current things I'm obsessed with... and it's been a while! So here is what I've got for today... randomness at it's best ;)

I get borderline snobby about two things... shampoo/conditioner & mascara (3 things actually I guess, if you count hair stuff seperately ha).

Those are my two things that I try several different types of, but am super picky about!

My hair has been changing in a MAJOR way over the past year... it has always been super thick, and recently has been thinning and breaking off (so much so I even had to have Whit check my thyroid b/c I was so paranoid!). So I decided to switch up my shampoo/conditioner again and this time went with what trusty ol' Leigh Ann recommended... which were the Pink bottles of Kerastase from Voce. It has helped a LOT! My hair feels so much better and isn't feeling as thin as it was... getting back to normal I think! 

It's a little more pricey, but to me has been worth it. And it smells so good too!  

Now onto the mascara... I am a MAC Pro Lash for life kinda gal... but someone I know who works there told me I should try this False Lashes one... and I am really loving it! I still sometimes go over it with Pro Lash for a more dramatic look or if I want more on for night or something... but I will be using this from now on too! It goes on really good and is super lengthening! Glad I tried it! :)

Couldn't find OPI Black Cherry Chutney at my nail place :( BUT I thought this one looked close enough and got it, and love it! Very fall'ish/holiday'ish and I am really feelin' it! Although every time I get my nails done Chris always comments on how he likes the color ha (so sweet!) and he hasn't done that yet this time, LOL so maybe he isn't so sure about it??

 Speaking of MAC...

If you're not using this brow gel you should be. It's awesome. Period. Love it. Keeps your eyebrows in place really good and doesn't look all gel-y or anything.

My all time favorite lipgloss ... still use it every day... C-Thru. :)

On to more randomness...

Today we had an office meeting to work on our business plans for 2012 (which honestly kind of stressed me out because I hate making business plans!) but I learned about this book and went and picked it up this afternoon and can't wait to start reading it. Dave Ramsey is awesome we all know, but this book is geared towards people who are not employees, people who are their own boss and are self employed... like moi :) So I am happy to see what he has to say and pray I can put it to work in my own life.

Tuesday night for dinner we fixed the crock-pot ribs recipe from This Post...

And they turned out soooooo YUMMY! Chris was obsessed with them. Said he wants to have them again already ha. They were awesome. Fixed them with my Aunt Cathy's asparagus recipe :)

Another current fave of mine is the Pumpkin Patch :)

We actually went twice this past week... on Sunday we went to Boyd's Orchard with church, then on Monday, Chris and I went to Bi-Water for Ava's field trip! Here are some of the pics we got ...

Ok Lastly... a couple lovely ladies had asked where my dress was from that I wore to Steph's reception...

I didn't get a full length pic but you can see it pretty good here...Chris took this on his phone so sorry for the brightness! The dress is Tibi and I actually got it at Saks last year on sale :( You might be able to find it online still though? It's real comfy that's why I liked it!

Oh wait, I had a good quote to share too... I stole this from a co-worker's facebook page a couple weeks ago (Thanks Teresa! I am using this more often than I would like to hahaha)...Chris and I laughed when we read it because it is so true!

Go ahead and steal that... :) I know you want to! I had one of those encounters today myself and repeated this 3 times under my breath! It worked, I think ;)

Well I am off to finish laundry, do some work on the computer, and clean up a little... really needing some sunshine tomorrow... this blah weather is making me sleepy! I was hoping to have another couple of warm, sunny days to do stuff outside and clean out my car :)

I'm Back!

My poor little bloggy... I have paid it no attention for one solid week and I have so much to blog about I don't even know where to begin!!! This has been a crazy week! I have been super busy, had no time to blog OR (gasp!) even stalk read my regular blogs that I follow! :( I'm going through MAJA withdrawls!

Tonight I am home, under a blanket, and going to get back into my blogs and a little Pinterest too for that matter lol my life hasn't been the same this week without them!

Navy is the new dark... for your nails that is! Everything I am reading says Navy is "the" Fall Polish Color... so tonight when I went to visit Tee at Red Nails (Lex ladies... Red Nails in Fayette Mall, Tee is my girl, you will LOVE her, she has done my nails for as long as I can remember but she wouldn't let me take her picture to put on my blog haha!I tried!) ... I went crazy and decided to try navy... Russian Navy that it, by OPI...

Next in my randomness...

One of my favorite things about Fall that I left off of my last blog on accident...

IT'S BACK!!

That's right... Creamy Tomato Soup from Panera!!! My favorite. Don't mind it is the worst soup on the entire menu for you, at 330 calories for a bowl (doesn't count the bread either ha, now I'm really screwed) but it is the yummiest and my most fave! Just in moderation :)

On Wednesday Emily and I attended the "Get Motivated" speaking seminar at RUPP... it was pretty good (minus the fact we were in traffic for over an hour trying to get there!)

But I did get to hear two of my favorite speakers...

Coach Cal and Laura Bush!

They were both good! There were some other good ones too... we didn't get to hear everybody but these two were my favorite :)

Also on Wednesday, the kids were begging to get out the Halloween and Fall Decor ... so I trucked it through the attic and spent 4 hours going through it all, seeing what we would use this year.. and then putting it all out! Got me in the spirit for Christmas though, weird I know... but I just wanted to skip Halloween and bring out the Christmas trees!

My friend Whitney got MARRIED!! Yayy!! Her and Brian walked down the isle last weekend and I am ashamed I didn't get to share the pics before now.. but here are some from the night...

The wedding was supposed to be outside but due to mother nature, it got moved in the barn at Talon... but was still so beautiful :) Loved these big burlap initial letters that were behind them during the ceremony!

The lighting was no good for my camera where we were sitting but this is still cute :)

Lastly,

Just in case anyone is wondering what Frankie is up to these days...

The little spoiled thing just follows me around and sleeps on the bed, and his current obsession is string cheese! He is mildly obsessed (that's my fave snack so clearly he just likes it because I do) and as soon as I open the door to the fridge he is right under me waiting for some ha! Love his heart!

Could he be any cuter? I think not! ;)

Well I still need to Pinterest and do a post of the Celebrity Birthday Party I am in preparation for... and also Chris's birthday is Monday so we will be having some more celebrations to do as well!!
